In March 2022 Techbase began delivering a weekly coding and robotics programme at Knowledge Base International Schools (KBI) in Ibadan. It remains one of the clearest examples of how we like to work with schools: a regular slot, a curriculum that grows with the pupils, and an instructor who is in the room.
How the programme is built
- Younger pupils start with Scratch. Colourful blocks teach sequencing, loops and logic without any typing getting in the way.
- Senior classes move to Python, web development and AI app development. Pupils write real code and build projects that look like the work of professional developers.
- Every session is hands-on. Each lesson is delivered laptop by laptop, with individual attention, every week.
Why a weekly rhythm matters
A one-off workshop is exciting but quickly forgotten. A weekly class builds skill the same way a sport or a musical instrument does, through steady practice. The programme also prepares pupils for coding and robotics competitions, online and in person.
